AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Scottish Sikh youth Jagtar Singh Jaggi was today presented before the Court of Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate Pushpinder Singh by the Baghapurana police. He was presented in the Court following three days of police remand in reference to FIR No. 193/2016 registered in Baghpurana Police station.
The Baghapurana police reportedly didn’t seek further Police remand of Jaggi due to which the court sent him on judicial custody till November 30, which is also the next hearing of the case.
Bhai Harminder Singh Mintu and Bhai Dharminder Singh Grewal alias Gugni were also presented before the Court of SDJM Pushpinder Singh in same case and they were also sent back to jail by the Court.
Police remand of sharp shooter Hardeep Singh alias Shera, who was also presented in the Court, was extended for one day by the SDJM Pushpinder Singh.
Meanwhile, it has come to fore that the court also rejected defense lawyer’s plea of seeking Jagtar Singh Jaggi’s regular medical checkup by constituting a team of medical experts. The court favored the Police in this concern as Jaggi’s medical checkup was being conducted before every court appearance.
