BAGHAPURANA, Punjab—Scottish Sikh youth Jagtar Singh Johan alias Jaggi, who has been framed by the Punjab police in the murders of RSS leaders in Punjab, was today produced before the Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) Pushpinder Singh of Baghapurana. On the request of Punjab police, the SDJM extended Jaggi’s police remand for further three days till November 17.
Sikh24 has learnt that the Punjab police succeeded in getting remand of Jagtar Singh Jaggi under the pretext of recovering his passport. Sources have informed that the family has already deposited his passport to the British High Commission and a receipt of it was produced before the Court by the Defense lawyer Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur.
Although the Police had sought 10 days police remand, the Court gave three days to Police only to confirm whether the receipt produced before Court was original or fake.
Meanwhile, Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur has informed Sikh24 that Jagtar Singh Jaggi was being tortured by the Police. “Police is stretching his groins and applying electric shocks on ears, nipples & private part,” he told Sikh24.
“The Court has accepted applications of Defense party seeking Jagtar Singh’s medical examination,” he added.
Jagtar Singh Jaggi was arrested on November 4 from Rama Mandi of Jalandhar and was produced before the Baghapurana’s Duty Magistrate on November 5. Following his arrest, the Police had succeeded in nabbing two other Sikh youths namely Bhai Ramandeep Singh and Bhai Hardeep Singh Shera who are being portrayed as the sharp shooters of RSS leader’s killings in Punjab. The Punjab police had shown recovery of five pistols, several bullets and three motor-cycles from these youths and claimed that these recovered items were used in murdering the RSS leaders including its state Vice-President Brigadier Jagdish Gagneja.Sikh24 Editors can be reached at email@example.com
