AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Speaking with Sikh24 on November 7, SGPC President Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar said that the SGPC has resolved to honour UK based Charitable Sikh organization Khalsa Aid for its pro-humanity work on international level.
“This was a decision taken collectively by SGPC executives and we are very pleased to announce this honour for Khalsa Aid,” Prof. Badungar said.
Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar further said that the SGPC has decided to also provide a scholarship of Rupees 250,000 to assist Khalsa Aid in its humanitarian works. He added that the Khalsa Aid (UK) has elevated the entire Sikh community on International level by following teachings of the Sikh Gurus.
Khalsa Aid is an international NGO with the aim to provide humanitarian aid in disaster areas and civil conflict zones around the world. The organization is based upon the Sikh principle of ‘Recognize the whole human race as one’.
