Through the lamp of the Guru’s Word, where the light of wisdom is lit, the beautiful chamber of virtues likened to jewels is opened and the darkness of ignorance is dispelled from that body. -Guru Arjan Sahib, Guru Granth Sahib, 821

Message: The Cave of Treasures

In the dark cave of ignorance, there is only the mistaken light of deceit and puffed up pride.

So the treasures hidden within never get illuminated and we are unsuccessful; unlike Aladdin in discovering these treasures.

Human life always requires the guidance of a true master. We need to reconnect ourselves to the divine teachings of the Guru.

Contemplation and then practising of compassion, love, empathy and other virtues can only happen with the guidance of the Guru.

This will illuminate and allow us to finally enjoy the rich treasures of virtues within ourselves.

Etymology: From Sanskrit ujjvaalak/ujjvaar (bright) → Sindhi ujaaro (bright, light).
