Message: The quote of the day shares a beautiful example of a water-fowl or duck. Ducks are known to have a unique characteristic. That is, their feathers do not get wet although they float in the water.
Even though the attachment for worldly things is extremely powerful and one often gets hooked to worldly attachments, yet we can learn to remain detached and free from their influences like the ducks.
By keeping ourselves close to the Divine-oriented people we will be able to discover virtues within us. We will learn to embrace the positive and healthy influences, overriding the negative and unhealthy ones.
This will help us to reduce the pull of worldly possessions and live by the Creator’s will or hukam.
Etymology: From Persian murghaabee (a water-foul), a blend of murgh (bird, foul) + aab (water).
