Akali Leader Sucha Langah also excommunicated by SGPC appointed Jathedars

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Senior Akali leader Sucha Langah has also been excommunicated from the Sikh community by the SGPC appointed Takht Jathedars. Earlier, the Sarbat Khalsa appointed Jathedars had excommunicated him on October 4.

In a two hours meeting at Sri Akal Takht Sahib on October 5, the SGPC appointed Takht Jathedars Giani Gurbachan Singh, Giani Harpreet Singh, Giani Iqbal Singh, Giani Raghbir Singh and Head Granthi Giani Jagtar Singh deliberated upon the immoral act of physically abusing a helpless woman committed by Sucha Langah.

Addressing the decree from the Supreme Sikh throne, Giani Gurbachan Singh directed the Sikh community to socially boycott Sucha Langah. He also directed the SGPC to suspend Langah from all the positions held by him.

In another decree, the SGPC appointed Takht Jathdars have given the last chance to Senior Congress leader Rajinder Bhattal and Arjan Badal (son of Finance Minister Manpreet Badal) to appear before Sri Akal Takht Sahib on October 13 in a case pertaining to seeking votes from rapist Sirsa cult chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim.

Similarly, the Takht Jathedars have summoned the president of the same Gurdwara Sahib, Master Johar Singh, to present his side of the side story, regarding the violation of Sikh code conduct committed inside the Gurdwara premises.
