AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Commemorating the 483rd birth anniversary of fourth Sikh master Sri Guru Ram Das Ji, a free medical camp was launched at the SGPC run Sri Guru Ram Das Charitable Hospital on October 3. The free medical camp, running for eight days, was inaugurated by performing the ‘ardas’ (supplication before God), with the attendance of SGPC Secretary Dr. Roop Singh and other officials of Sri Guru Ram Das Medical University.
Patients to be admitted during tenure of this free medical camp (October 3 – October 8) will be exempted from admission fee, bed charges and operation fees, shared Dr Roop Singh.
He further explained that the SGPC has begun an awareness campaign this year,to create awareness about cleanliness, beautification, and traffic and pollution control. He claimed that the awareness campaign will bring positive results this year as the district administration has also promised of controlling traffic.
