PATIALA, Punjab—SGPC president Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar on July 13 underwent meeting with Ex-President of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee Paramjit Sarna at Gurdwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib in Patiala.
The meeting is being portrayed as an informal meeting as Sarna had come to pay obeisance at Gurdwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib after getting appointed as an OSD to Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh. At the time, Prof. Badungar happened to be present at the Gurdwara. As per unconfirmed sources, Prof. Badungar called Sarna to his sitting venue to discuss various Sikh issues.
Sikh24 has learnt that Prof. Badungar asked Sarna to apprise the Punjab CM about imperfections found in the republished edition of the Sikh encyclopaedia ‘Gurshabad Ratnakar Mahan Kosh’ by Punjabi University.
Similarly, Sarna urged Prof. Badungar to take a lead in resolving the Nanakshahi calendar row. He told Prof. Badungar that the amendments in the calendar have caused confusion among the Sikh community due to different dates of ‘gurpurbs’. He also asked the SGPC chief to end all controversies regarding the Dasam Granth.
On being contacted by Sikh24, Sarna confirmed the development. He said that he has assured the SGPC President to take up the issue of imperfections in republished edition of ‘Mahan Kosh’ with Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh. He said further details of the meeting will be shared at an appropriate time. He said the meeting was very “successful”.
There is no difference between Guru Nanak Dev ji & Guru Gobind Singh ji & the gurbani of all the Guru Sahib. The true Sikh should not create controversies. If someone just understand & lives life as Guru sahib explained in Japji sahib, he will understand there is no difference between the gurbani of Guru Gobind Singh ji & gurbani in Guru Granth Sahib ji.
Don’t be misguided by communal forces, they have already devided Sikhs & Sikh jathebandies, be careful & no more controversies, please.

As Such SIKHS are suppose to be a Learner and he will continue to learn from all fountains of Knowledge on this PLANET EARTH.
These above mentioned persons are so called leaders of the Sikh Community and leading Sikh religious organisations doesn’t seem to know abc of the religion they are supposed to lead. Guru Gobind Singh ji finalised our holy granth Sahib ji and established it as our living Guru for all times to come. As good Sikhs they should stick with it and allow only bani written in Guru Granth Sahib ji to be read and discussed in our Gurudwara’s. All this so called Bachittar Natak etc are historical documents and history changes with time while the words written in Guru Granth Sahib ji are eternal truth and will never change. These people should just go and check the how the our history is being changed and taught in our schools. Please stick with what our Guru Gobind Singh ji ordered that we are to follow “Guru Granth Sahib ji” and nothing else.
