Prominent Sikh Preacher and Associate Arrested by Punjab Police

GURDASPUR, Punjab—Two Gursikhs, namely Bhai Mann Singh and Bhai Sher Singh of Tarna Dal were arrested by the Punjab Police near Ajnala and presented in the court.  They were arrested jointly by teams of the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Punjab Police.  Punjab Police claimed to have recovered large ammunition, along with an AK47 rifle from their possession.

Speaking with the press, BSF DIG (Deputy police Inspector General) from Gurdaspur Gurpal Singh identified Bhai Mann Singh as a resident of Sri Hargobindpur and Bhai Sher Singh from Kartarpur.  He started that the duo were nabbed in the border area of Ajnala as they had come here to collect a consignment of arms.

Bhai Mann Singh is a well-known Sikh parcharik and has traveled internationally to teach gatka and meanings of Guru Granth Sahib.  He is member of the Tarna Dal and has extensive knowledge of Gurbani and Sikh history.  DIG Gurpal Singh alleged that Mann Singh and Sher Singh were operating a network of militants and actively recruiting new members.

Bhai Mann Singh acknowledged that he was after culprits who had committed beadbi of Guru Granth Sahib Ji in Punjab, however, he refused to cite any names of people on his hit list.

Both were presented in the court, which granted their police remand for 5 days.  Bhai Mann Singh seemed to have been tortured as he had trouble walking when he was taken to the court.

  1. Dear Karandeep: Thank you for your comments. You are free and entitled to not want khalistan. Absolutely entitled. The authentic Khalistan is not about imposing itself on others. You are entirely freed to disagree. You are a ‘Sikh from Dheli’. Please share with us what you do want? We can then have an intelligent and informative discussion around that with you. A ‘better India’? An centralised India? An India with no police brutality and no police corruption? Again, I sincerely say that you do not need to have Khalistan nor want it. If you feel secure in Dheli as a Sikh, that is your priviledge and prerogative. I would earnestly request you to explain, how you justify or believe in the rightness or justification of the Indian mammoth, superstate? The Indian powerstructure. What makes India a sacred right, and gives the Indian establishment to impose its territorial and political identity on those who are unwilling partners? Just the Indians rhetorically say that the British colonialists did not have the right to rule over India, then in the same way, how does the India power system have a right to take the place of the British raj and impose itself on the vast and diverse nations across the Indian political map. Please educate and elucidate on this un-explained point? Why should I be forced to sing the Indian ‘anthem’, carry the Indian flag, etc, submit to ‘Hindi, Hindu, Hindustan!’ : when I do not believe in any of these things and do not feel ‘Indian’. Why should I be forced to relinquish my primary, indigenous cultural existence, and submerge and subdue to a bigger, wider imposing identity which is based on no referendums, on artificial political borders, on power and force of the Indian army and police. I have my own indigenous territory, culture, codes of life, inspirational heroes, language and much, much more which India, Hindu-dom, Brahmindom can never equal. Why can’t all the nations which are locked within the Indian territorial-political superstructure, be allowed the free and peaceful right to choose their political status. In places like Britain, East Timor, Kosovo, Scotland and so many others, those peoples are allowed to choose by way of referendums. Why not in Panjaab, Kashmir, Tripura, Tamilnadu, Sikkim, Manipur, Nagalim, Mizoland, Assam? I welcome your thoughts. As a final thought, the lack of justice for Sikhs 35 years on since November 1984 – the 4-day mass, public genocide of Sikhs in the Indian capital no less, in full view of the whole world, orchestrated by the COMBINED, MULTIFARIOUS FORCES of the Indian state: what does that say about the root mind-set of the Indian state? Likewise Godhra 2002. The Indian state in 70-years, has been beaten the 200 or so years of the British raj in brutality, exploitation, discrimination, hatred, violence on civilians, repression, human rights atrocities, public maladminstration and genocide. An interesting comparative record. Welcome your feedback, karandeep.

  2. Harish Sharma, you are neither a Hindu nor of any dharm. Your comments are useless and deserve no comment!! you are ignorant and should be ignored.!!
    Go learn some ethics.

  3. Truth – you have taken the words out of my mouth – as you know “kute di poosh never gets straightened” no matter how you try they will always be disgusting hinduvata thinking, against humanity.

  4. I have said that India is an British Empire construct.
It is still administered by Empire by CCC

    1) Constitution
    2) Client Army
    3) Congress.

Nations in world are created and destroyed by Empires especially those who rebel against it.
Other tools Empire uses to administer world Include

    1) Wars
    2) Regime change
    3) Civil wars
    4) Dictators

Punjab as a kingdom was snuffed out after the Anglo- Sikh War.
It now survives at a very low level of its former glory.

  5. Bhajee Sharma and your fellow Indians and Hindus, we are in a forced marriage with your Hindu-Indian political structure. This is a horribly, abusive, unwilling marriage. It is based entirely on force, not consent. We the Panjaabis, Kashmiris, Manipuris, Tamils, Sikkim, Nagas, Mizos and more, do not wish to be part of this abusive marriage. Unfortunately, it has never been part of the Hindu-Indian thinking and tradition over thousands of years, to be kind, tolerant and equal minded. The whole Hindu-Indian thought process, religion, Manu-simriti, is based on Brahmin superiority, control, supremacy, force and caste discrimination. This evil mix is the total opposite of the Panjaabi-Sikh ethos, thinking, history and aspirations. Just as the Mughal empire and British empire did not last forever, and were the subject of continued resistance and dissent – foremostly by the Panjaabis, so neither will the Hindu-Indian superstructure last forever. Your angry retorting responses, reveal only your desperation; and your complete lack of reasoning, fairness and sound logic. Your logic is power at all means. Our logic is freedom, self-determination, human rights, justice at all means. Let the clash of good versus evil continue. Glorious history is being made!

  6. why don’t you guys go on war with us . That will tell how brave you guys are . I don’t want any your so called historical Crap now .

    • Don’t boast to much Mr Sharma .
You look like suffering from an complex
India or its Army is not your private Army .
It is run by the constitution of India and not you wishes.
Neither are we are not at war with India or its Army .

  7. The lines written by Jagdish Singh is the inner voice of all minorities & nations forcefully & with deceitful tactics united by the country called India. You can’t unite different nations for long time,

  8. Can someone ban the hinduwa’s on here posting their pro-hindu pro-indian govt crap like harinder and sharma these rss shiv sena dogs are infamous at posting anti-sikh and anti-khalistan propaganda.

  9. for the stupid people above Harish and Harinder, Punjab police are the cause of much lawlessness themselves and you cannot punish people for zero crimes committed . But then again making up Bullshit cases is the hallmark of Indian Justice system

    • Punjab police derives its power from

      1) Legal power from the Law makers of Punjab
      2) Police man from the state of Punjab
      3) Weapons from the EMPIRES military industrial complex.

Indian Justice is made by the Law makers of India and its Constitution a book by which the EMPIRE administers India.

  10. Your precious ‘Indian state’. This is a bogus, undemocratic construction. There is no such thing as an Indian nation. India has only been a ‘united’ territory by conquest alone, and not be any democratic choice of the vastly diverse small nations that populate the map of South Asia. None have been given a referendum to choose whether they wish to be part of this big, monstrous, monolith called INDIA. It has been a forced ‘territorial union’, established first by the Mughals, then by the British and now (since 1947) by the Hindu supremists (previously disguised as ‘secular’). The map of India (excluding Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka) is bigger than even the 28 independent states which make up the European Union! No-one would be so arrogant and super-imposing to claim that all of these 28 unit states were one single ‘nation’. India, however, insists, proclaims, imposes itself as one ‘nation’. Furtheremore, it has made open and explicit its Hindu-istic character, which has been an underlying force all along sitting in the background for 70-years. Now that the Hindu supremist fanatics have by the usual hook and crook and violence of Indianistic politics seized power of the ‘Indian union’, they are now rampaging openly with their political Hinduisation of the Indian map. India = Hindu. Hindu = India.

Many nations, like the Panjaabis, broke out of this horribly grip of India by establishing their free, independent states in the early 1700s and late 1700s. We certainly aspire to return to that freedom, again. The nations of Bengal, Tamilnadu, Manipur, Kashmir, Sindh Baluchistan, Kerala, Mizoland, Nagaland, should all be allowed to become free and independent. The steamroller of Indian empire of today is a clear menace and open threat to justice, democracy and human rights.

I am proud to be Panjaabi, Kashmiri, Manipur, Tamil, Sindhi, Baluchi, Mizo, Naga and more. I repel the horrible term ‘INDIAN’ – a pejorative term of abuse invented by Europeans, to decry the secondary peoples of the world. INDIA is a symbol of gigantism, centralisation, modern day imperialism. Down with INDIANISM! Up with small nations!

      • Even if you set up a THEOCRATIC SIKH state some day in Punjab.
The Empires army and the Client Army of Nation will BOMB it out of existence.
Only DEMOCRATIC and MULTICULTURAL societies are Stable societies these days .

  11. The Empire is trying to set up an SIKH THEOCRACY state in Punjab.
This may lead to a possibility of resurrection of Violence.
Police in Punjab need to be very vigilant from forces trying to destabilize Punjab.

    • Indian state = barbaric, evil, beggars, thieves, liars, kniwn worldwide as a rapist state, blood thirsty hyenas who will sell their own mothers. This is the description of indian leaders amd their blind followers. Doubt it? Check the facts.

  12. Harinder veer.. although I agree with you.. trusting Punjab police to keep the peace Isa another thing. Have we forgotten Punjab police’s role in the violence in the 80s & 90s?

Also, do you think that these Sikhs are the only illegal gun owners in India?

  13. People in Punjab have seen 1980-90 period havoc religion can play in the life of people.
Punjab Police will not allow Punjab to slip back to the 1980-90 era.
Peace will be maintained at all costs .

    • Preventing freedom of speech and hindering democracy is not peace. Jailing and torturing innocents is not peace. Treating minorities any less than the status quo is not peace. Spreading hatred to a certain religion is not peace. It’s tyranny. It’s evil. It’s small minded. The exact reasons “hindu”stan will never be the world leader.
