SGPC constitutes sub-committee to probe atrocities on Sikligar Sikhs in Madhya Pradesh

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Taking strong notice of the atrocities being committed on the Sikligar Sikhs by Madhya Pradesh police, SGPC President Prof. Kirpal Singh badungar today constituted a  sub-committee to probe the entire episode. The committee will submit its report to the President of apex Sikh body after getting first-hand information of the entire episode of atrocities on Sikligar Sikhs in Madhya Pradesh.

SGPC’s executive member Bhai Ram Singh, S. Karnail Singh Panjoli, S. Gurdeep Singh Bhatia and SGPC’s Vice Secretary Mohinder Singh have been taken into the sub-committee.

Speaking to Sikh24, SGPC president Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar said that the Sikligar Sikhs were an essential part of Sikh community and the SGPC was committed to help them at any cost. He added that the Sikligar Sikhs had been engaged in work of making weapons for Sikhs from the period of Sikh masters.

He condemned the Police’s attempt to dub Sikligar Sikhs as smugglers of weapons. He has appealed the Madhya Pradesh government to pay attention towards this issue so that the Sikligar Sikhs could be saved from falling victims of state excesses.    

Meanwhile, the British Sikh Council has arranged a meeting between Sikh leaders and Police administration at Indore on May 13 to sort out the issue as soon as possible.

  1. SGPC needs to help them in setting up a company by which their Skills can be used to make India self reliant in Arms manufacturing..
