Simranjit Singh Mann inaugurates ‘Azad Punjab Media Network’ in Punjab

FATEHGARH SAHIB, Punjab—President of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) S. Simranjit Singh Mann on April 27 inaugurated a media platform named ‘Azad Punjab Media Network’ in Punjab. It is notable here that the ‘Azad Punjab Media Network’ is a US registered media network which runs a news portal, radio and Internet channel.

Addressing the media on this occasion, S. Simranjit Singh Mann said that an independent media portal was a need of hour for minorities, especially the Sikhs, as the mainstream media portals have always presented the Sikh issues in negative sense. He added that the mainstream media outlets always use negative words like ‘ultra’, ‘extremist’, ‘hardliner’ etc. to defame Sikh activists. He appealed the Sikh masses to support ‘Azad Punjab Media Network’ so that the common masses could be apprised about the Indian state’s excesses on Sikhs.

Prof. Mohinderpal Singh (General Secretary, Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar), S. Resham Singh California, S. Amrik Singh Ballowal (General Secretary, Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar), S. Navdeep Singh Amritsar, S. Gursharan Singh Sohal, S. Paramjit Singh Akali, S. Pritpal Singh Khalistani, S. Baj Singh, S. Navdeep Singh Bajwa, S. Gurjant Singh Kattu, S. Pritpal Singh Tarn Tarani etc. were present on this occasion.
