Jagdish Singh Jhinda, the Takht Jathedars (appointed by Sarbat Khalsa 2015) scrapped the religious decree issued from Sri Akal Takht Sahib on July 16, 2014. Notably, the HSGPC leaders S. Jagdish Singh Jhinda, S. Harmohinder Singh Chatha and S. Didar Singh Nalwi were excommunicated from Sikh community by the Sri Akal Takht Sahib authorities in this edict.
