Pakistani Sikh Leaders Resolves to take Akal Takhat’s patronage to print Holy Scriptures

LAHORE, Pakistan—After deliberating upon the matter of setting up a printing press in Pakistan for printing the Holy Scriptures of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee authorities have decided to move ahead under the patronage of Supreme Sikh throne Sri Akal Takht Sahib. The meeting was held in the head office of Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) in Lahore (East Punjab).

The PSGPC authorities also deliberated upon the arrangements to be made for 4,000 Sikh pilgrims likely to arrive in Pakistan on the eve of Vaisakhi from 12 countries. The meeting attendees resolved to make every possible effort make the journey of Sikh pilgrims smooth.

The PSGPC authorities have also postponed the decision to export sacred water of historical well of Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib for the meantime.

PSGPC President S. Tara Singh, S. Ramesh Singh Arora, former PSGPC President S. Bishan Singh, PSGPC General Secretary S. Gopal Singh Chawla, Baba Amarjit Singh Peshawar, Additional Secretary Imran Khan, Officials of Wagha Railway Station, Pakistani Rangers, Immigration Officers, Custom Officers and Police Officers were present in this meeting.
