SGPC To Launch ‘Turban Training Camps’ in Punjab Villages

SANGRUR, Punjab—The Supreme Sikh body Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee has announced to commence ‘Turban Training Camps’ at village level across Punjab. The development was confirmed by SGPC member Jathedar Rampal Singh Behniwal at a religious function in Lehragaga.

Jathedar Behniwal said that the President of SGPC Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar has chalked out programs to preach Sikhism in Punjab. He added that Sikh preachers, Ragis, Kavishars will be sent to all villages of Punjab to inspire the youth of Punjab towards Sikhism.

Jathedar Behniwal also announced that the SGPC has also chalked out a program to distribute free Sikh history and literature books to Punjab youth, along with opening new libraries within sacred Sikh shrines. He further informed that ‘Gatka’ kits would also be made available free of cost in villages.

  1. Good move, but don’t give only gatka kits but also good gatka trainers. The books of sikh history to be distributed should be recommended by Sikh scholars because Hindutva minds are trying to change the history. All the preachers should also explain Sikh history when they preach about Gurus & Gurbani.
