Sirsa Cult’s support to Akali Dal: Sarbat Khalsa appointed Jathedars summon guilty Sikh leaders

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—The Sarbat Khalsa 2015 appointed Takht Jathedars Bhai Dhian Singh Mand, Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala and Bhai Baljit Singh Daduwal have summoned Sikh leaders of Shiromani Akali Dal, Congress and AAP for violating the sacred edict issued from Sri Akal Takht Sahib in 2007. The count of these leaders is being said to be around 40 in which 25 leaders are from Badal led Shiromani Akali Dal while the rest are from Congress and Aam Aadmi Party.

In a decree issued in 2007, the authorities of Supreme Sikh throne Sri Akal Takht Sahib had directed the Sikh masses to socially boycott Sirsa cult chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim and his disciples. Sirsa cult chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim was held guilty for hurting the Sikh sentiments by imitating the attire of tenth Sikh master Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

Earlier, Sarbat Khalsa appointed Takht Jathedars had constituted a committee headed by SGPC executive member Surjit Singh Kalaboola to probe the matter. Surjit Singh Kalaboola had submitted the report about issue to the Takht Jathedars few days back acting on which the Jathedars have summoned the guilty Sikh leaders. The Tkhat Jathedars will assemble together on March 30 at 11 1am to attend the summoned leaders.

Earlier, Jathedars had also summoned Sukhbir Badal and KPS Gill, however, they have not yet announced any plan to appear in front of the Sarbat Khalsa Jathedars.
