AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Pro-freedom Sikh outfit Dal Khalsa has announced to mark the ‘Fateh Divas’ on March 15 by taking out ‘Khalsa March’ and holding a convention commemorated to Sikh General Baba Baghel Singh in Hoshiarpur.
Speaking with Sikh24, Dal Khalsa activist Ranbir Singh and President of Sikh Youth of Punjab S. Paramjit Singh Tanda said that their aim was to ignite the spirit of Sikh sovereignty in the present generation and to connect them with their historical and cultural roots.
They said that the interests of Sikhs and Punjab were the sole concern of Baba Baghel Singh, while the focus of the present Akali leadership was to mint money and enjoy power. ‘We are passing through a critical phase and there was a need to re-strategize our plans to attain the Panthik objectives’, they added.
It is noteworthy here that Baba Baghel Singh had hoisted the Sikh flag (Kesri Parcham) on Red Fort of Delhi in 1783. Later, Baghel Singh and the Mughal Emperor had entered into an agreement that 12.5% of the octroi of Delhi would regularly be sent to the Khalsa forces. In return, he would ensure that the Sikhs did not attack the capital again.
It is also said that the then emperor of Delhi was quick to reconcile with the Sikhs for which he offered a treaty and accepted their terms. The Emperor was to pay Rs 3 lakh as gift. The kotwali area was to remain the property of the Sikhs. Baba Baghel Singh was allowed to construct Gurdwaras on all sites connected with Sikh history. Baba Baghel Singh was to retain 4,000 soldiers till his task was completed; the Emperor was to pay all expenses. The Sikh army left the fort after the treaty missing a great opportunity to become the strongest force.
This person has gone mad, just ignore his remarks, he is not able for any discussion with civilized people, let him talk to the air.

Babar came with 500 men & ruled India for more than 300 years. British came with 200 people & ruled for more than 200 years but on Sikhs 100 years, in British army they had Hindu soldiers. It was dal khalsa, it was Maharaja Ranjit Singh who blocked the ways of Muslim rulers to enter India. You should be proud of these brave men who are living in India.
We don’t your knowledge , I am happy what I am . I am not interested at all with Sikhism. I am just telling the government of India to stop these kind of events . Because these people will be future militants .mark my words , act now otherwise it will be too late .
Hindu is mispronounced word sindu people living in sind ghati by Persians. When Sikander defeated Persians, they used the word indu for people living in indus valley from where the name India derived. Just read history of ancient India. Read your swami dayanand your religion is sanatan dharam. I don’t know why your religious leaders don’t give you true knowledge.

The only bullies are RSS gunde well known fact – to attack minorities – Sikhs do not attack minorities and for marching and igniting spirit is no crime. Of course it would hurt RSS Hindus they cannot face up to reality or history of Sikhs…………

This is all about the showing weapons to minority of state that don’t mess with us , because we are very powerful . Administration should stop it . It will give power to these antisocial elements . It will bring back militancy to Punjab . You cannot surrender to these anti social elements . Govt should stop them from these kind of activities
Interesting note, the delhi administration at the time was under the control of the Irani and tehrani wing of the Mughal empire – Gurudawara Sis Ganj sahib was built in the courtyard of the existing mosque by this admin. It was not till a switch occured with the takeover by turks and pathans that a negiotated peace fell apart again.
