DHURI, Punjab—Jathedar Sri Akal Takht Sahib (appointed by Sarbat Khalsa 2015) Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara has moved an application before the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Dhuri to inquire about status of pending cases against him. The application has been moved by Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara’s legal counsel after the Tihar Jail authorities informed Bhai Hawara about pending cases against him Dhuri and Samrala.
Speaking with Sikh24, Bhai Hawara’s legal counsels Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur and Advocate G.S. Sarao informed that they were not aware of these cases pending against Bhai Hawara in Dhuri and Samrala. They informed that a similar application was moved in Samrala last week to get status details of seven pending cases against Bhai Hawara.
Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur informed that the Dhuri SDM has directed the Additional Public Prosecutor to share the status of cases against Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara.
“The record shows that Dhuri Sub Division Magistrate Ashish Saldi had issued production warrants of Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara in 2005 but he was never produced before the Court, nor he was informed about these cases” said Advocate Jaspal Singh Majhpur.
