CHANDIGARH, Punjab—As per internal sources, SGPC President Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar met with Akali Dal president Sukhbir Badal and several other senior Akali officials yesterday.  The meeting was held to discuss various issues facing the party, including visit of Akali leaders to Dera Sacha Sauda before the elections.  It is important to mention that several Akali leaders who visited the dera were present in the meeting between Prof. Bagundar and Akali Dal.  Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Badal did not attend the meeting as he is currently undergoing treatment in USA.

  2. Sir Badal is right.
His political understanding of situation is correct.
Dera Sacha Sauda is an Empire sponsored party like the 1979 Nirankaris of Amritsar out to provoke a civil unrest in Punjab.
We need to ignore our Provocateurs.

  3. We must have a party that is :–

    1) By the people of Punjab
    2) For the people of Punjab
    3) Of the People of Punjab

If possible we need to Reunify Himachal , Punjab ,Jammu, Haryana and Resurrect the Great Punjab once again.

  4. rss doormat badal family et al sadly again reaping gain of votes underservingly:( will Khalsa ever regain and rule Punjab, where are they ?_/\_ why join aap when kejriwal; another rss doormat:(

    • I doubt the Sikhs will ever rule Punjab again. They would have to reconquer all of Pakistan for one thing, and a lot of India too. Hell, they’ll probably be a minority in the new mini-Punjab soon too. As for where they are, I think most of the Khalsa left the party. About three quarters of Sikhs cut their hair and became Westernized. Once Bhindranwale’s movement was defeated it was basically all over.
