ਮੋਹ ਚੀਕੜਿ ਫਾਥੇ ਨਿਘਰਤ ਹਮ ਜਾਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਬਾਂਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਕਰਾਇ ਜੀਉ॥
moh cheekaṛ phaathe nighrat ham jaate hari baaṅh prabhoo pakraai jeeu.

Message: This verse illustrates how we are entangled in worldly falsehood, similar to one stuck in mud, sinking fast downwards and not knowing that we are the cause of our own plight.
Through our honest and humble efforts, we must seek the shelter of the Guru – the Guru’s wisdom – to guide us across the worldly temptations that trap our minds.
Let us make the plea to the Almighty that just as the lotus flower remains untouched in the swamp of mud; likewise we can also remain detached from excessive worldly entanglements and remain unperturbed by the ups and downs of life by enshrining the essence of this wisdom in our mind.

Etymology: A native (adapted) form of the current keechaṛ, derived perhaps from Sanskrit kichch (mud, dirt) → Phaluṛa (Dardic) kichal (mud) → kumuani keech → Bengali kichaa/kichaṛ, Sindhi/Marathi kicaḍ and Gujarati/Hindi/Braj keech/keechaṛ.
