President Badungar Announces SGPC To Honour Bihar CM Nitish Kumar

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—To extend a vote of thanks to the Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, SGPC President Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar has said that the SGPC will organize a program to facilitate an official honoring of Nitish Kumar, for making such impressive arrangements during 350th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

He added that his colleagues will also be honoured by the SGPC for making the celebrations so memorable for Sikhs.

The SGPC President said that although he had thanked Kumar on the last day of celebration, more is needed to be done. He said that whosoever attended the birth anniversary celebrations of tenth Sikh master in Bihar, largely appreciated the efforts by the Nitish Kumar led Bihar government.

Speaking of the devotion of the residents of Bihar for Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Badungar said that they spent many hours standing in queues to have a glimpse of the Gurdwara Sahib on January 5.

“An interesting occurrence was that a group of Russians, who have adopted Sikhism, visited Patna to participate in the celebrations. Foreigners, who have adopted Sikhism, had come from 24 countries, including China,” Badungar added.

Badungar further said that Nitish Kumar deployed Bihar cadre Punjabi officers who were given special instructions to help devotees. “They were taught to greet visitors with folded hands. No policeman carried a stick with him. Even auto-rickshaw and cab owners were briefed in this regard,” Badungar said.

  1. All Sikh gurus were the same why Sikhs feel the need to have a huge celebration for their birthday is PUzzling to me and also the people invited here were anti Sikh people like dhumma…. Sikhs need real Sikh leaders like sant jarnail Singh and they need to get rid of fake people like dhumma and let institutions like damdami taksal flourish again! I’ve been to Bihar and Patna… the everyday conditions of this state and how the people behave is something i can’t even begin to describe, so for few days the chief minister imposed certain rules and asked people to behave certain ways and then when this birthday party is all wrapped up the people would just continue on with their everyday lives and continue to be very disrespectful to guru gobind Singh! Sikhs have become blind ritualistic fools, everything kabir and baba Nanak warned about the Sikhs have become Sheeps and ritualistic bafoons by seeing light shows and fireworks at gurdwaras and giant paintings of guru gobind which depict and illusion because we don’t know how his physical appaearance really looked …. if you love Sikh gurus so much then show it everyday not just for few Days

  2. Nitish did a great service, wholeheartedly, from start to end. He has been blessed in this task by guru sahib as guru granth sahib states …aapeh sewa laiyen..” He is fortunate, and blessed to have carried his duties out on this auspicious occasion. Blessed he has been in all of this. He is honoured for this service, worldwide, and has earned the respect of the Sikhs. Thank you.

    • He is “blessed by guru gobind Singh” ?????????? according to whom?!! Your blind ritualistic sheep senses?!?
Wake up sleeping dogs wake up to reality of this world!!!!

    • So would you also honour the badals for the baba banda Singh bahadur celebrations in Delhi and modi was there too??? ?????????? oh god you people are seriously LOSERS! Giving saroopas and honours where people don’t need to be honoured ….honour those who fight against tyranny, don’t honour people who put garlands around the necks of oppressors and corrupt bought out leaders and politicians …. people who fight against tyranny don’t even want honours and little award plaques because they don’t need such foolish trophies to show off, their actions speaks louder then trophies

  3. No one needs to honour ministers of Bihar they only did this for tourism and money purposes…. guru gobind Singh was born in Patna because the rulers were trying to kill
Him if he was in Punjab… Bihar minister should focus on fixing Bihar. We don’t need light shows and fireworks at gurdwara, we need Khalsa raj and corrupt India to get their disgusting noses out of Sikh businessss and culture and history and religion

    • Whatever the Chief Minister of Bihar’s motives I think we can give him the benefit of the doubt and be gracious that at least his celebrations raised the profile of the Sikhs in a positive way for a change in India. There may those whose curiosity was raised by all the hullabaloo and they may be intrigued enough to go out and find out who we Sikhs are.

      • Sikhs should distribute free gurbani books in the language of Bihari people so they can understand and perhaps break the shackles of slavery and become part of the Khalsa and free themselves from being so called Dalits or untouchables… that’s what the “low-caste” jatts of Punjab did

    • Miss Kaur,
You are wrong, in every sense of the word.
For once learn to appreciate, what lengths others go to make you comfortable.
Bihar didn’t have have to do anything, but they did
      And that should be appropriated.
Guru da shukrana , ke , how much respect was given to the Sikhs.
As for rule, we Sikhs don’t agree with one another on any subject. Even if get a country of our own , we will tear it apart in no time.
      Badal’s Raj is good example
      Please give a thought ??
