GOINDWAL SAHIB, India—Candidates of the Panthik Front from Kapurthala and Khadoor Sahib constituencies, namely Jathedar Narinder Singh Khusropur and Jathedar Karam Singh Bhoian, have begun their election campaign by paying obeisance at Gurdwara Baoli Sahib in Goindwal Sahib. The two are district presidents of Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar from Kapurthala and Tarn Taran respectively.
Speaking with media, Jathedar Khusropur said that he was committed to convey the values taught by our beloved Gurus to every home of his constituency. He further said that he was working at ground level to sort out the problems of the common masses of his constituency. He said that masses in his constituency were facing severe degrees of drugs and water pollution due to the biased approach of sitting legislators.
“Members of public in my constituency are prone to dangerous diseases due to the black canal flowing near to village Kala Sanghian. Waste from the leather industry is being thrown directly into this canal”, he added.
Jathedar Karam Singh Bhoian said that targeting apostasy in his constituency is his primary focus if he is voted to power.
Separately, the Supreme Court of India on January 5 allowed ruling Shiromani Akali Dal candidate Sucha Singh Langah to contest election from Dera Baba Nanak constituency. Sucha Singh Langah has been convicted for three years by a Session Court of SAS Nagar in a Disproportionate Assets case. Earlier, Langah had moved a petition before Punjab & Haryana High Court seeking stay on his conviction but the High Court had dismissed the petition due to which the SAD had to change its candidate from Dera Baba Nanak constituency by replacing Langah with his son.
Appearing before a bench of Supreme Court, Langah’s counsels Advocate Vaibhav Agnihotri and Advocate Niharika Ahluwalia told the Court that the case registered against Sucha Singh Langah was purely politically motivated. They also cited the warning issued to Investigation Officer of this case by the Court in other 11 such cases registered against SAD leaders.

Leather factories use chromium which is a Level -1 carcinogen.
Half the population of UP and Bihar have high level of chromium in there bodies .
We need to be very careful on our air and water pollutions.
Only clean industries should function as farvas possible I our neighbourhood.
Perhaps it is now time for humane culling of cows in India as they produce massive amounts of pollution (not just to the country but to the world with the amount of methane emissions they produce) and are a public health hazard and menace to pedestrians and vehicles. Once their numbers have been radically reduced their value as commodity will increase for the leather producing industries which will then invest in safer working practices.
