Even BBC Needs To Be Schooled On Difference Between Sikhs & Muslims

bbc-mistakeLONDON, UK—To the dismay of Sikhs in UK, a BBC news segment on Muslim extremism showed a Sikh Khanda in the middle of it’s piece.

The startling error alarmed many Sikh viewers, who have making tireless efforts to tackle such misconceptions for over ten years. Sikhs being the most integrated minority community in the UK have long been battling misconceptions within the public who sometimes mis-identify Sikhs as Muslims, due to appearances.

The Sikh Press Association issues a statement on the matter, asking the BBC to work with them and suggested working Sikhs organizations to begin “producing a report about the serious consequences confusion between the two faiths can cause.”

UK viewers can see the News at 10 show herehttp://www.bbc.co.uk/…/ep…/b083zzhh/bbc-news-at-ten-05122016 (mistake comes at 25.40).

The Sikh PA has contacted the BBC and asked them to edit their piece on iPlayer and requested that an apology be issued.

  2. They really did dismay is it is kind of sacrilege of our religion bbc better apologize for that 500-550 year old religion, 5th largest religion in world and they still have no room for updating their crapy heads to this knowledge
