SGPC President Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar has strongly condemned the Ministry of External Affairs for hurting Sikh sentiments.

He added that he will write to the MEA to remove the billboards with immediate effect.

  1. Miss Kaur you have my full support on this! This RSS agent is non-stop government chamcha – I wonder what they have fed him with……

  2. Mr Badungar you will write to the MEA to remove the bill board immediately – why have you not removed it immediately yourself…. what you going to write them and plead that please take this down and if they don’t you will let it stay there….. Why are you not speaking to the Badals as mentioned by Hardeep above?
In the meantime are you going to find out who actually have the nerve to put these up?

  3. Mr Badungar! What you have done to stop this? Have you told Mr Badal this is wrong? Perhaps we have to think about other options also to change this negative soch to positive thinking. It’s better to keep your anger within you & show when there is proper time first democratically in coming elections. Miss Kaur, When goal is high, overlook the person who is taking without head & tail, he just changes your target, from the main point to his bonehead ideas.

  4. People must visit Amritsar to understand Sikhism.
We need to encourage people to show interest in us ,talk to us , visit us and also join us.

    • You don’t visit Amritsar to do bhangra and giddha, that is not the attraction or the reason for making pilgrammage but a desire for spiritual enlightenment. Amritsar is holy city of the Sikhs not Las Vegas of Punjab. Where exactly would they put the giddha and bhangra site – in the precincts of the Darbar Sahib or perhaps in the Jallianwala Bagh? Sikhism is NOT a prosletysing faith and we do not need to advertise anything to have people take interest in us or join us as you say. Such crude misleading marketing completely devalues Amritsar and its historical and religious importance to Sikhs. I would remind you the Darbar Sahib attracts more visitors than the Taj Mahal with more than 100,000 visitors on weekdays alone and is the most popular destination for non-resident Indians (NRI) in the whole of India.

  5. And what does the SGPC do in Amritsar to defend our Holy City’s sanctity? They build hotels with wifi for the same tourists these billboards are aimed at. Hand in Glove.
