Surprise Turn As SGPC Appears To Nod At Sarbat Khalsa 2016

sgpc-logoAMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Newly appointed SGPC President Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar has not spoken against the Sarbat Khalsa taking place next week at Talwandi Sabo.  “It’s too late to stop the preparation now, we will establish contact with the Sarbat Khalsa organizers and try to find a platform to unite,” he told Sikh24.

sarbat_khalsa_20Sarbat Khalsa was initially scheduled to be held on Vaisakhi and was later postponed to November.  Due to Government pressure, the organizers called it off once again and have now given a call to summon the gathering on December 10, 2016.  The SGPC had denounced the original Sarbat Khalsa 2015 gathering.

When asking why the former President Avtar Makkar refused permission for the SK2015 at Akal Takht Sahib, Prof. Badungar said, “Times were different.  There was no unity within the Panth back then.  A lot has happened since then.  I did not say that SGPC is entirely okay with Sarbat Khalsa but we must put our differences aside and unite at some common platform.  This is why I am not against the gathering even though it may not be representative of the entire Sikh Nation.”

  1. Thanks Mr Badungar, but to unite sikh panth, if someone has the authority, he should bring back all the ragi Singh, panj Piare, ardasia Singh back to their employment. removed during Makkar time, Jathedars should be replaced by Jathedars selected by Sarbat Khalsa & RSS sponsored chief Secretary should be removed, only then we can think about unity in Panth.

  2. If we only focus on Indian Punjab as a source of our roots and spiritual guide.
We run the risk of annihilation and extermination.
A widely dispersed community through the world and universe will prevent a genocide-4.

    • Perhaps thinking of the Punjabi Hindu in 1966 (who even turned forsook his mother tongue of Punjabi for Hindi) you just want the Sikhs to abandon their homeland and heartland so you can recolonise it with Hinduvta minded immigrants. The Sikh cannot forsake Amritsar any more than the Jew can forsake Jerusalem or the Muslim Mecca. The Punjab is ours because we have shed and spilt more blood, sweat and tears than any other people of that soil and will forever keep her close to us no matter that you loot her waters, pollute her soil with uranium and murder our jawans. A people without a homeland become a nation no more which is the only reason you keep trying to tell the Sikh to leave the Punjab with the threat of violence against him if he dares to stay in his home. You are a shameless people whose own forebears could do nothing when Punjab was threatened but we are not like you, we even saved your religion form anhiliation and your daughters from the Afghan so you should bow your head to us whenever we walk past and thank your Gods we are here to protect your rights even as we protect our own.

      • Indian Punjab is on the hit list of several forces from local to neighbors to Global. Be very careful .
The Indian Punjab water has Uranium and heavy metal in it .
        Indian Neighbors have Nukes.
Global forces will lead you into WW-111
Universal forces will make this Earth burn up in 4 billion years . Other stars in this Universe will switch off.
We will have to find a way to parallel universes.
The Artificial intelligence is also hovering over us with technological singularity.
Even Evolutionary forces are on the prowl.
We got to secure future of our children’s from lot of dangers.

      • Your despair seems overwhelming. Perhaps you might consider the ultimate way out for yourself if you consider the world so bleak? Courage and faith in Waheguru’s Hukam is a trait of the Sikhs and as you are only pretending to be one no one will blame you as you are so tormented by possible fanciful futures.

  3. Empire Forces in Nation are working systematically to put peaceful Punjab on fire again by
    1) Desecration of Guru Granth Sahib ji.
    2) Targeted killing of people in Punjab
    3) Holding of Sarbatt Khalsa inspite presence of SGPC and Akali dal
    4) Punjab and Haryana water confrontations
    5) Giving people into hyper religious mode
Be care ful don’t turn Punjab into another Iraq ,Syria or Kashmir.
Be careful of hyer religious or hyper Statist or hyper Nationalistic peoples..
Don’t get provoked and live peacefully all over the Globe in which ever Nation you live in .
Never forget that we have to leave this Earth and go to Space as in 4 billion year this earth is going to burn up.
Transform the community into space faring people going to different planets ,Galaxies and parallel Universes.

    • Your only genuine concern is that if Sikh masses get together in sufficient numbers to make decisions and opinions known of the Panth’s dissatisfaction with the SGPC and their Badal masters (themselves on a Hinduvta leash) you will be unable to deny and indeed ignore our demands for justice. Will you support and advocate the banning the Hindu Kumbh Mela? After all that is as semi regular as the Sarbat Khalsa, certainly has millions more people gathering in religious assembly, costs millions of crores to police and almost always results in the death of dozens of its attendees usually trampling themselves to death in some unfortunate incident. With recent tensions stirred up by the RSS and tensions with Pakistan that festival too could be said to subject to your ‘mischievious elements causing disruption there so for the sake of public order surely the Kumbh Mela should also be banned and its proponents arrested and harassed if you logically and equitably extend your objection to Sikhs holding their Sarbat Khalsa in their own Sikh homeland and heartland of Punjab? Of course you don’t object to Kumbh Mela as that is not a Sikh festival gathering so let us dispense with your pretence at being democratic when you cynically suggest Sikhs can only voice their dissent and indeed talk about their own religious affairs in a state election when you know full well you have and intend to harass and arrest even leaders of political parties standing for election. The AAP leader comes to Ludhiana and has his car stoned and attacked by Badal supporters so he is effectively chased out of town and the police do nothing. Sikhs coming to attend the Sarbat Khalsa from abroad are similarly arbitraliy harassed arrested, released and re-arrested on pretexts that cannot stand in a court of law even. Your true colours are revealed in your statement that no ruling government likes to see public voices of opposition and dissent (which begs the question what has supposedly ‘secular’ Punjab Government and self admitted ‘non-Panthic Akali Badal party got to do with religious affairs of the Sikh kaum?). IN a democracy no government has the right to stamp on the people going peaceably about their business purely because it does not want them to talk in what it considers to be in a manner detrimental to the ruling parties best interests of staying in power. That my friend is called autocracy and leads to a fascist state of thought police. If you try to choke off grassroots feelings of people and think to manipulate them by intimidation and perverting the course of natural justice you are creating exactly the problem you are trying to avoid: people will lose faith in the establishment and governmental system as we have seen in Brexit and election of Donald Trump who successfully tapped into a feeling that a political system was rigged against the common man’s interests. I know you don’t want Sikhs to express their religious identity but you are risking our democracy by trying to repress and control them both unethically and illegally when they are clearly trying to gather and discuss internal religious affairs (which are supposedly guaranteed by our constitution) as is their civil and human right. If you keep pulling at the lion’s mane whilst he is sleeping let alone try to shear his hair you cannot be surprised when he wakes in rage. Don’t keep repeating the mistakes of the past and just adding to the sense of grievance and injustice the Sikhs have felt since 1947.

      • Please establish your Khalsa Raj in Punjab or wherever else you desire .
Just do it through Democratic and peaceful means .
Don’t do any targeted killing or disturb the unity and integrity of Indian Nation which is protected under the Constitution of India which the British Empire gave the nation.
India and world is a muti religious and multi National.

      • Can you tell me how many non SIkhs have been killed by targeted killing please? Two Sikhs were murdered in cold blood by the Punjab police last year for example. Targeted killing is only of SIkhs in Punjab. And when you talk of the sanctity of the constitution can you assure me then that Punjab can keep all her water as guaranteed under that same constitution and by international (multi religious and multi national) riparian law? And is not Bapu Surat Singh not demonstrating the ultimate democratic and peaceful means of protest with his hunger strike? Why then do you support his repeated kidnapping from his own home by armed police (who molest his family members) who then take him to a hospital where he is force fed against his will and where that hospital then demands payment from his relatives? Be serious you can’t tolerate Sikhs exercising their religious or democratic rights to dissent and are prepared to murder them in the name of the country just as the Nazi’s did for the ‘unity and integrity’ of their fatherland. Democracy means tolerating views that you don’t like not quashing them by any means necessary.

      • Please establish your way of life in this Universe where ever you so desire.
We must fully enjoy our religious right not only in India our homeland but also where ever else in this world and Universe we may decide to go and live.
