CHANDIGARH, Punjab—The Punjab & Haryana High Court has summoned the case diaries of the FIR (First Information Report) registered by the Ludhiana police in relation to the deadly attack on Sikh preacher Baba Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale. Notably, Dhadrianwale was attacked near Ludhiana by activists related to Damdami Taksal (Dhumma) in which his close aide Bhai Bhupinder Singh was shot dead.

Hearing the petition moved by a supporter of Bhai Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwala, the High Court bench represented by Justice Fatehdeep Singh ordered the Ludhiana police to produce case diaries of the FIR. Justice Fatehdeep Singh took the move after the Dhadrianwale’s counsel leveled allegations that the Police were not acting against the alleged mastermind of attack Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma under political influence.

The petitioner’s counsel also said that some pertinent witnesses in the case had deposed before the Police that the Sikh seminary under leadership of Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma and his close associates were involved in orchestrating the attack but the Police didn’t even try to interrogate him.

The prosecution’s counsel also told the Court that he was receiving threats from unidentified elements asking him to give up the case.

It may be recalled here that the Police had earlier told the Court that 14 arrests were made in relation to the attack on Sikh preacher Bhai Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale and further investigations were taking place in the case.

  1. Ranjit should keep his mouth shut and not try to be someone he is not, this is what happens when you start to offend real samparda’s that have a a histroy of shaheeds, To much manmat parchar is done by this Dhadrianwala, just listen to what he is saying about sarovers etc, and his international chelleh try to justify, and so did he by trying to say the video was edited etc.
his UK chellah jatha also chats bakwaas on stage, he also will get himself into trouble, these kal deh jwaak trying to teach the Gurmat, but have never studied what it is, his UK vale chella said there is no point doing paath in India cause you can’t listen to it??? So when we do Akand Paath for the sarbat da bhalla and ardas, does that mean that only if the “Sarbat” is present will it be beneficial.
This is moorkah di philosophy….Guru Sahib is Agam Athaa they can do bakshish on who ever when ever, who are you lot trying to set guidelines on how Guru does bakshish.

  2. The law of land should be strictly applied how so ever politically any one is connected.
We can become a law less society run and subdued by violent groups.

    • Your Right Harinder, the law of the land should apply. Realistcally India is a very corrupt country and Justice will not happen. This is a very sad set of affairs.
