Respected Sikh Scholar “Bhagat Ji” from Canada in Critical Condition After Suffering from Multiple Strokes

TORONTO, Canada—Bhai Jaswant Singh Khalsa, respectfully called “Bhagat Ji” from Toronto, Canada has remained in critical condition after facing multiple strokes.  Bhagat Ji has had two strokes in past 24 hours and is currently hospitalized.

Bhagat Ji had a minor stroke yesterday and was taken to urgent care.  While his condition improved after being admitted, he suffered another stroke.

Sikh sangat has been reciting Jaaps for Bhagat Ji’s well-being all over North America.  

Bhai Jaswant Singh Khalsa has been doing Gurmat parchar since the early 1960s as a student of the Damdami Taksal under the mentorship of Sant Gurbachan Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale.  He is the main inspiration behind the website GurSevak.com and some of the renowned Sikh websites, including iGurbani project include his works on Gurbani.

Bhagat Ji is author of the most extensive steek on Sukhmani Sahib, comprising of over 900 pages.  He has also compiled books providing interpretations of Bhagat Kabir Ji and Bhagat Farid Ji’s saloks and has written several books on Gurbani.
