LUDHIANA, Punjab—Exactly a week after the passing away of Rashtriya Swamsewak Sangh’s Punjab Vice President Brigadier Jagdish Gagneja, the Dashmesh Regiment has claimed the responsibility of his assassination. Gagneja was shot at in Jalandhar on August 6 by unidentified assailants and he passed away on September 22 at Hero Heart Institute of DMCH, Ludhiana. The Punjab Government had sought a CBI inquiry into the murder case as its police forces were unable to identify the assailants despite existence of CCTV footage.
In a press note published in Rozana Pehredar newspaper, an activist of the Dashmesh Regiment named Rajinder Singh Jinda claimed the responsibility. Jinda also claimed the responsibility of killing Shiv Sena leader Durga Prasad. The press note states that these action were carried out due to increasing anti-Sikh activities of the Hindutva organizations in Punjab.
Jinda also slammed the Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Badal for joining hands with the anti-Sikh agencies for his self-interests. The activist stated that Badal would have to pay the cost of sledge-hammering the Sikh tenets. Holding the Badal family responsible for statewide desecration incidents, Jinda appealed the Punjab masses to end dependency on the Police and punish the culprits as per Sikh tenets.
The press statement claimed that ‘Dashmesh Regiment’ was committed to punish the culprits responsible for desecration incidents. Expressing deep concern over the prevalence of drug menace in Punjab, the press note further appealed the masses to share names of persons involved in drug trading publicly.
Dashmesh Regiment’s existance dates back to pre-1984. This organization was formed to punish anti-Sikh elements in Punjab. All India Sikh Student Federation’s (AISSF) general secretary Shaheed Bhai Harminder Singh Sandhu used to claim responsibilities of the Regiment’s actions under the alias of Sardool Singh. Later after the arrest of Bhai Harminder Singh Sandhu during Operation Bluestar, former AISSF leader Bhai Satwinder Singh Bhola took command of the Dashmesh Regiment under the same alias.
Questions are being raised on the authenticity of letterhead of ‘Dashmesh Regiment’ after sudden emergence under different name as all activists pertaining to this body were martyred in the 1990s and the Punjab Police had announced it defunct.
India has stepped its online activities by employing a dedicated group of “trollers” like this Harinder clown. They are attempting to pretend to be Punjabi Sikh, but are actually the most Fascist element in India today. It is the role of the average Indian to stand with the Sikhs, as the Sikhs have stood by Indians for hundreds of years. Dear Indians from whatever religion you are from, please look at the atrocities committed by the government against Muslims, Christians, Dalits, Sikhs, Tamils, Kashmiri’s, and the list goes on and on. India is drowning and in the past Sikhs would have been the first to jump in the water to save her, but no longer. Sikhs will first stand for there own freedom then worry about there brothers. yes Sikhs are sword of India. Sikhs may constitute only 2% but they would occupy of 100% indian hearts .All Sikhs are respected and loved by Hindus .Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh . Hindus mean no harm to Sikhs ,Christian, Buddhist, Jains some tensions though exist with Muslims .But Muslims have issue with everyone. All Sikhs are respected and loved – really? Is Bapu Surat Singh respected and loved for being on hunger strike for the rights of Sikh prisoners still languishing in jail having already served their dubious sentences? Your friend RSS supporter ‘Harinder’ (not his real name) doesn’t think so. He’s also happy for India to chase Sikhs abroad even though their cases are thrown out of Portuguese courts and the very officers despatched to grab them are themselves accused of torturing Sikhs. The RSS is a terrorist militia which is utterly an enemy to the Sikh Panth because its values and practices are totally against what the Khalsa stands for.
