CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Former Aam Aadmi Party convenor Sucha Singh Chhotepur has said that he was ready to float his party soon.  “There’s a large section of masses disillusioned from Congress, SAD and AAP and a fourth front definitely has its place in Punjab’s politics,” Chhotepur told Sikh24.

Chhotepur said that he was currently busy in completing the formalities for the registration of his new party and announcement will be made once it gets registered.

Speaking with Sikh24 over the phone, Chhotepur said that he was waiting for Sidhu’s decision about the launch of fourth front. Terming the leaders of ‘Awaz-e-Punjab’ forum as plaintiffs of Punjab and Punjabi, Chhotepur said that Navjot Singh Sidhu, MLA Pargat Singh, MLA Balwinder Singh Bains, MLA Simarjit Singh Bains, MP Dharamvir Gandhi and others all were welcome to join him.

Chhotepur added that he couldn’t talk to Navjot Sidhu and Bains brothers but spoke to MLA Pargat Singh who has asked him to wait till Sunday as MP Patiala Dr. Dharamvir has called a roundtable conference on Sunday at Chandigarh.

It may be recalled here that Navjot Sidhu had earlier announced to keep his ‘Awaz-e-Punjab’ as a political forum only. Political analysts have opined that Sidhu would never want to become a full time politician at the cost of his lucrative carrier in the entertainment industry. It is being said that the reason behind launch of ‘Awaz-e-Punjab’ forum is that Sidhu doesn’t want cut from politics and the launch of new forum has provided him better negotiating power.
