Interacting with the media at the Press Club of Chandigarh, Dr. Dharamvir Gandhi alleged that the two lists issued by the AAP for the upcoming assembly polls in Punjab contains mostly name of those candidates who have paid huge ransoms as bribes. On being asked whether the Parliamentarian from Fatehgarh Sahib Constituency, Harinder Singh Khalsa, was also in his support, Dr. Gandhi said that he couldn’t talk to him as he is currently out of Punjab.

Lashing out at the Akali Dal, Congress and AAP, Dr. Gandhi said that the trio were responsible for the plight of Punjab as the three of them ignored the crucial aspects of Punjab to serve onto their vested interests.

Dr. Gandhi said that today he founded the new platform, and in the coming days, he would invite his supporters from all over Punjab to give a new shape to the platform.

Giving an unclear answer about the abolishing of Article 25 from the Indian constitution, Dr. Gandhi said that the current Akali Dal was stepping backward from the distinction of the Sikh identity. Sikhism has been portrayed as part of Hinduism in Article 25 of the Indian constitution.
