FARIDKOT, Punjab—Speaking with Sikh24 about future course of action to seek justice in Bargadi case, Takht Sri Damdama Sahib Jathedar Bhai Baljit Singh Daduwal (appointed by Sarbat Khalsa 2015) said that Panthik organizations are still looking for justice.  “We know the Government has already compensated the victims, but the compensations can never replace justice,” he told Sikh24 yesterday, July 19.

Bhai Daduwal said that justice could be delivered to the victims of Bargari incident only by bringing the culprits to justice.

Justifying his statement, he contended that if compensation can replace justice, then let the Sikh masses know how much compensation the Government wants for releasing the assassinators of Chief Minister Beant Singh.

He said it was Government’s duty to bring the culprits to justice and arrest the miscreants responsible for sacrlege of Guru Granth Sahib.  “These incidents have caused much distress to the Sikh community and we will not accept mere financial compensation,” he said.  “The Sikh Panth will continue its struggle until culprits are arrested.”

The Punjab Government was successful in halting a wide scale program scheduled to take place at Bhagta Bhai Ka.  Sikh organizations were gearing to initiate fresh struggle to seek justice.
