BATHINDA, Punjab—Addressing a meeting of Eknoor Khalsa Fauj at Takht Sri Damdama Sahib on July 16, Giani Balwant Singh Nandgarh appealed to the Sikh youth to come forward to put control over the rising desecration incidents. He appealed to Sikh preachers, leaders and activists of all Sikh bodies to unite on a single platform to give a befitted reply to those responsible for the sacrilege of the Holy Scripture of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
Slamming the Badal led Punjab government for remaining unsuccessful in nabbing the culprits responsible for the desecration incidents across Punjab, Jathedar Nandgarh alleged that the so called ‘Fakhr-e-Kaum’ Badal was defending the anti-Sikh elements responsible for Punjab wide sacrilege incidents. He also criticized the Badal government for conducting raids to prevent Sikh activists from taking part in a protest to march that was scheduled to be held on July 17 from village Bhagta Bhai Ka.
The leader of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar Committee, Bhai Sukhjit Singh Khose, said that it very unfortunate that Narendra Modi or RSS didn’t give any clarification despite the fact that the slogans ‘Narendra Modi Zindabad’ and ‘RSS Zindabad’ were written on the desecrated Holy Scriptures of Gurbani. He appealed to the Sikh bodies to unite on a single platform in wake of the upcoming assembly polls and highlight the Sikh demands. Strongly condemning the Punjab wide arrests of Sikh activists to stop them from taking part in a protest to march, Bhai Khose said that it was murder of the democratic rights of Punjab civilians.

Jagseer Singh Sandhu, Bhai Guriqbal Singh (Former President of All India Sikh Students Federation), Bhai Rupinder Singh, Bhai Harjinder Singh Bajoke (District President of Eknoor Khalsa Fauj from Moga), Bhai Sukhpal Singh Goniana (District President of Eknoor Khalsa Faujt from Bathinda), Bhai Kuldeep Singh Hanumangarh, and Bhai Jagtar Singh Ganga Nathana also addressed the gathering on this occasion.
