350th Birth Anniversary: Takhat Sri Patna Sahib Delegation Meets Parkash Singh Badal

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—A delegation of the Management Committee of Takht Sri Patna Sahib met Chief Minister, Parkash Badal on May 23, to seek his support for the commemoration of the 350th birth anniversary of the Tenth Sikh master, Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The delegation discussed wanting to mark this historic event of the 350th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Ji at Takht Sri Patna Sahib.

After thoroughly grasping the matter, Chief Minister S. Parkash Badal assured the delegation to urge the Railway Minister, Sri Suresh Prabhu, to commence a special railway service for the devotees from Delhi, Amritsar, Bathinda, Nangal and Pathankot to Patna. He also assured the delegation to ask the Railway Minister to start daily services on Tata-Jallianwala Bagh and Amritsar Railway express. He also promised to provide special bus services for the devotees that are willing to attend the historic event of the 350th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

Chief Minister S. Parkash Badal also promised to recommend names of the members of Takht Sri Patna Sahib Management Committee for State level Advisory Committee to be organized to make arrangements for the historic event.

SGPC President Avtar Singh Makkar, DSGMC’s General Secretary Manjinder Singh Sirsa, SGPC’s Secretaries Roop Singh and Avtar Singh, Shalinder Singh (Senior Vice President of Management Committee of Takht Sri Patna Sahib), Bibi Kamaljit Kaur, Sarjinder Singh, and Secretary Mohinder Singh were present in the meeting.
