State Convener of Aam Admi Party from Punjab, Sucha Singh Chhotepur, Supreme Court Advocate Harwinder Singh Phoolka and AAP leader Sukhpal Singh Khaira were also accompanying Kejriwal on this occasion.

Punjab chief minister Parkash Badal and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal have already met the Sikh preacher following the May 17 murderous attack on him near Ludhiana. Patiala MLA Preneet Kaur also met Dhadrianwale on Tuesday and said the Congress would ensure that the conspirators of the attack were brought to book.

On May 17, a cavalcade of Bhai Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale was attacked by goons of Baba Harnaam Singh Dhumma, the Punjab Government appointment chief of the Damdami Taksal.  The attack took place in the evening of May 17 near Mullanpur Dakha when the conclave was on its way to village Isewal for a diwan. The assailants fired many gunshots but Dhadrianwale escaped the deadly attack. However, his aide Bhai Bhupinder Singh lost life in this attack.

On May 23, during a press conference at Mehta, Baba Harnaam Singh Dhumma accepted that the attackers were associated with the Damdami Taksal.  “While here I express condolences at the passing away of Baba Bhupinder Singh from Dhakki Sahib, I want to make it clear that I also respect the sentiments of the attackers and will support them in every possible way,” Baba Harnaam Singh Dhumma said.
