Sikhs For Justice Continues Protest Against Indian Politicians in North American

cpt amarinderSAN FRANCISCO, USA—After having successfully filed a complaint against Capt. Amarinder Singh’s political rallies in Canada, Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) has continued its protests against the senior Punjab Congress leader.  On May 3, SFJ held a protest outside a function organized to honour Amarinder Singh in Fresno, California.  The protest was attended by a large number of SFJ activists, who shouted slogans against Amarinder Singh.  As Amarinder Singh was leaving the hall after delivering a speech, some activists hurled shoes and bottles at him.

Today, SFJ successfully also served a defamation law suit notice to Amarinder Singh during an NRI gathering in Milpitas, California.  On April 23, Amarinder Singh had remarked that Sikhs for Justice was playing into the hands of the ISI (a Pakistani intelligence agency).  ISI-SFJ nexus controversy started when responding to the Sikh advocacy group’s “Torture” case in Canada, Capt. Amarinder on April 23 stated, that “SFJ is playing into the hands of the anti-India forces like the ISI to embarrass India and project as if rights violations was the norm of the day in the country (India) like some dictatorships in different parts of the world”.

Earlier, along with blocking Amarinder Singh’s rallies in Canada, Sikhs for Justice had also initiated efforts to stop Aam Aadmi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal from conducting poll events in Canada.  SFJ legal advisor Gurpatwant Singh Pannu had stated that rallies of all Indian politicians would be blocked in North America, and the SFJ will take all legal steps from barring such politicians from coming here.

It may be recalled here that the US-based Human Rights body Sikhs for Justice has been emerging as a headache for mainstream political parties of Punjab.  Sikhs for Justice is popular for moving petitions against political personalities of Punjab responsible for extra-judicial murders of innocent Sikh youths in fake encounters.

  1. Very telling of Sikhs that they will NOT give slavish ovations to Sikh politicians who have failed to represent Sikh interests when they go abroad. Contrast this reaction to the Wembley Stadium rock star reception given to Modi by his Hinduvta constituency in the UK recently. The Hinduvta mafia should take note that we Sikhs do not have automatic servile deference to our political leaders nor reflexive Brahmanical respect for those Jathedars and Granthis et al (I am looking at you Makkar) who purport to have spiritual authority over us when they err theologically. We are by nature inclined to be uncontrollable as we are taught to regard ourselves as being each a Sovereign so no point trying to nobble Sikh political parties and religious bodies as we will soundly reject them when they act against Sikh interests and religion.
