AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—On March 1, 2016, an Amritsar court will hear a 23-year-old case which has been reopened by the Punjab police against Prof. Davinderpal Singh Bhullar.
The case belongs to Sadar (Batala) police station, which was registered under the TADA Act 23 years ago. However, despite Prof. Bhullar being incarcerated ever since his extradition from Germany, no hearing ever taken place in the case.
Prof. Davinderpal Singh Bhullar was transferred last year to Amritsar jail from Delhi’s Tihar Jail. He is suffering from mental illness and has many other medical complications. His release became possible with the hunger protest by Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa after it was approved by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
As per the Sikh Relief organization, the court will hear Professor Bhullar’s bail plea on March 1 as well.

The law should be equal to all.
In Kashmir it should protect the Kashmiri Pundits from Jihadists and Kashmiri Muslims from the State forces.
But the law is not equal to all RSS Harinder – that’s the whole point. Discrimination and persecution of religious minorities (No Hindus are NOT a religious minority in India no matter how good a Hinduvta accountant you can find to massage the figures and rewrite definition of minority) has become institutionalised in this country. The police are not bastions of virtue but corrupt and easily controlled by political patronage. The police needs to be reformed from top to bottom to root out this culture and that does mean firing swathes of upper ranks that have become accustomed to buggins’ turn thinking i.e. they will move up and enjoy privileges of of their rank (using involving the taking of bigger bribes and abusing their police power over civilians) when the next one up retires but even the one who retires will retain influence with his successors.
I agree that India needs to protect all its minorities from violence .

3) In Gujrat it needs to protect its Muslims
4) In Delhi it needs to protect the Sikhs
5) In Orissa it needs to protect the Christians
6) In Haryana it needs to protect the Punjabis.

How many HIndu Rights activists have been forced to felle form Punjab after extra judicial arrests and torture by police? How many of these Hindu activists have been granted political asylum in countries all across the world because of fear of the Indian State? Tell when was the last Hindu killed in Punjab by Sikhs? How many Hindus have been killed by Sikhs? Is one Hindu life worth more than a thousand Sikh lives? How many thousands of Hindus have been saved by Sikhs since 1699? Longer if you include Guru Tegh Bahadur’s self sacrifice for Kashmiri Pandits. You wouldn’t even have any Hindus today in north west India if it were not for the Sikhs of yesteryear saving their both their lives and honour! And didn’t ‘Punjabi’ Hindus renounce their Punjabi identity in 1966 in referendum when they voted in self determination to form state of Haryana and forsake Punjabi language for Hindi? Only in Delhi the Indian state needs to protect Sikhs? What about in Punjab and Haryana where tens of thousands of Sikhs have been illegally kidnapped, tortured, raped and murdered over decades? You are cynically disingenuous when you talk about the Indian Sarkar protecting minority interests and try to present Hindus as being minorities on a par with Muslims, Christians and Sikhs in a country which has a massive majority of Hindus in it and Hinduvta Government which is criticised internationally for its intolerance towards other religious faiths.

There was no India before the British Raj took over the entire subcontinent – and even then there were exceptions such as Goa and Pondicherry. Don’t you understand that when Man was in primal darkness without understanding of God he was pagan worshipping deities in search of the divine. I thought as everyone else India was freed in 1947 and British are no longer there – they operate British Laws ? no so true India has its rules and but still do not comply with the same but bend them as long as minorities are punished , especially sikhs and keep the hindus safe… disgusting law – you call this democracy…… Hell with the Indian law and people who make it . Don’t worry these laws will bite all and sundry and then they will feel the need to modify it to suit our nature and need .
Till then we must move to Non Imperial Nations till some wise Law makers in India are able to make suitable amends in our laws.
