BRAMPTON, Ontario, Canada—A fire earlier today at the Mayfield Gurdwara near Brampton, Ontario, caused a lot of damage.
While there are severe structural damages to the building, there are no known injuries. Sikh24 has learnt from local sources that the saroop of Guru Granth Sahib is safe.
While the building is currently locked up, fire investigators are expected to return to determine the cause of the blaze that devastated the building. Sangat is not being allowed inside the Gurdwara Sahib by the fire department.
The fire spread quickly through the walls, causing extensive damage to the building structure.

Gurdwaras should be made in proper buildings, and not in trailer buildings like this one is made in.
That’s my picture, I went there and took it. To me it looks like the Guru Granth Sahib is burnt there. It is difficult to look at.
