BEADBI: Akali Leader Sucha Langah Snatches Mic from Dhadis Outside Akal Takht Sahib; Minor Clash Averted

AMRITSAR SAHIB—Unable to bear the words spoken by a Dhadi Jatha who were singing historical vaars outside Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Sucha Singh Langah snatched their mike and refused to let them speak from the stage there.  Senior Akali leader Langah was at Sri Harmandir Sahib and sitting outside Akal Takht Sahib when the incident took place.

Dhadi Jatha of Bhai Satnam Singh Lalu-Ghumman was addressing the tales of former Akali warriors like Akali Phaula Singh.  During their speech, Bhai Satnam Singh blasted current leaders in Punjab who were going against the tenants of the Sikh religion.  Not being able to hear anything against the Badals, Sucha Langah at once got up and snatched the mic and told the Dhadi Jatha they could not perform anymore.

Sucha Singh Langah pointed towards his security personnel and supporters to come towards the stage.  A minor clash occurred between Dhadi Satnam Singh and the Akali Minister however Sikh Sangat stepped in at the right time to break up the clash.

Following the incident, Langah met with several SGPC officials, including the Additional Manager of Sri Harmandir Sahib immediately.  He warned the SGPC officials to instruct all Dhadhis and other preachers to not utter anything against the Akalis.

Disgraceful and shameful. Dhadi Jathas are our inspiration and highly respected – Guru Gobind Singh Ji as well!
