SGPC To Place ‘Complaint Box’ In All Gurdwaras

Kesgarh SahibAMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—In a bid to improve the management of historical Gurdwaras, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee has decided to permanently install a complaint box in each Gurdwara Sahib. This decision was taken in a meeting of managers of Gurdwaras across Punjab with the Chief Secretary of SGPC Harcharan Singh at Amritsar Sahib.

As per information in a SGPC press note shared with Sikh24, the Managers will have access to the Complaint box and they would have to open them at scheduled intervals. The Manager would then have to solve the said problems within the Gurdwara Sahib mentioned by the complainant and if the issue is beyond his capabilities, he would have to report to the core committee of the SGPC.

The SGPC has also announced to open information centres within all Gurdwara premises to facilitate visitors with help. The SGPC has also announced to install multi-language boards in each Gurdwara, explaining the history behind the Gurdwara Sahib.  The boards would be made in a manner that would allow people to read it in night also. SGPC employees deployed in all Gurdwaras Sahibs are also advised to train themselves on the history of the Gurdwara in which they are working.

  1. ‘SGPC employees deployed in all Gurdwaras Sahibs are also advised to train themselves on the history of the Gurdwara in which they are working’. Presumably there will be this complaints box installed at the Anandpur Sahib and the Akal Tahkt at Darbar Sahib so we can tell Makkar and his acolytes there of Sikh history – you know the importance and authority invested in the Panj Pyare and Miri Piri principle by Guru Gobind Singh and the Guru Hargobind at both those Gurdwaras respectively. The SGPC will probably drop this complaints box idea once they realise or if they fail to get enough money generated from selling the complaints papers to recycling company to make toilet tissue.
