AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Acting Jathedar of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, Giani Gurmukh Singh has refuted the allegations being leveled against him of playing key role in facilitating pardon to Gurmeet Ram Rahim. He has stated that he is ready to appear before Panj Piaras at Sri Akal Takht Sahib to disclose what had really happened.
Addressing the media gathering outside Sri Darbar Sahib, he termed the allegations levelled on him baseless and self-made. He asserted that he will disclose some secret facts about the pardon given to Gurmeet Ram Rahim by Sri Akal Takht Sahib. He maintained that he didn’t play any role in this act instead he was trapped under a special conspiracy. He said that he is feeling mentally retarded after pardoning Gurmeet Ram Rahim.
Commenting on the rumors of bitterness in family relations, he maintained that he had weak relations with his relatives for many years but now they had been just skyrocketed by some mischievous elements.
Just days ago, the sister of Giani Gurmukh Singh has broken relations with him since his alleged role in facilitating a pardon to the Sirsa cult chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim. Rumors of resignation of Jathedar Giani Gurmukh Singh also stormed Panthik circles but the SGPC later clarified that none of the Jathedars had resigned. Jathedar Avtar Singh Makkar had been continuously convincing Jathedars to maintain their stand by visiting their homes.
