CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa’s health has seen minor improvements, however he is exceedingly weak.  Bapu Ji is still facing difficultly speaking, however he is fully conscious and adamant about his demands.  Police administration only gave permission to S. Ravinder Jeet Singh Gogi to meet with Bapu Ji for a few minutes yesterday, while all other supporters were turned away.

Ravinder Jeet Singh Gogi told Sikh24 that he met Bapu Ji yesterday around 6 PM after he was given permission by SSP Ravcharan Brar on condition that police personnel would accompany him.  He was told to not speak about any political matters with Bapu Ji.  Gogi had to deposit his phone with the security guards as five upper ranked police officers including SSP Brar accompanied him to Bapu Ji’s ward.

Sikh24 was told that although there are some improvement, the medical staff needed to do more to improve the condition in his room.  Gogi said that no staff members were appointed to help Bapu ji with bath or micturition. He added that Bapu Ji is being given glucose by dripping in veins.  Sikh24 has further learned that Bapu Ji has again stopped taking water orally. His salivary glands are said to have suffered severely due to stoppage of water intake.

Talking about the petition he had moved in the Punjab & Haryana High Court, he informed that the court has referred the case to Justice Inderjit Singh in Room No. 67. Justice Inderjit Singh will conduct a debate on the case on October 5.  Advocate ADS Chautala will be Bapu  Ji’s counsel.
