CHANDIGARH, Punjab—In a press note shared with Sikh24, Bhai Jagtar Singh Tara has stated that Shaheed Bhai Dilawar Singh Babbar played an important role in the Sikh history. He referred to the courage displayed by Bhai Dilawar Singh as a “historical chapter of bravery in the Sikh history”. Bhai Tara maintained that the Sikh Nation will will always refer to Bhai Dilawar Singh as a courageous warrior when reading about his life story.
Explaining some unknown facts of the days of his life spent with Bhai Dilawar Singh, Bhai Tara said that Bhai Dilawar Singh became more firm and in high spirits after getting apprised with his duty. Reiterating his promises with Shaheed Bhai Dilawar Singh, he said that he will not stop the struggle for the establishment of a sovereign Sikh state until his last breathe.
It may be recalled that Bhai Jagtar Singh Tara was a member of the team involved in assassinating the then Chief Minister of Punjab Beant “Singh” on August 31, 1995 in civil secretariat of Chandigarh.
Chief Minister Beant Singh was responsible for unleashing the massacre of innocent Sikh youth in Punjab in which former DGP KPSGill played a key role. Bhai Tara was recently arrested from Thailand a year ago. He was deported to India by the Thai authorities and now he is being detained in Burail Jail of Chandigarh.
