Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa Asks Simranjit Singh Mann to Contest 2017 Elections from an Allied Platform

LUDHIANA, Punjab—Speaking collectively Sikh political leaders, Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa asked upon S. Simranjit Singh Mann to consider contesting elections from an “allied platform”.  He asked S. Mann to not field contestants where other Panthik minded Sikhs had been fielded by other Panthik organizations.

During the meeting, S. Simranjit Singh Mann wholeheartedly accepted the request by Bapu Surat Singh Ji Khalsa.  S. Simranjit Singh Mann is the president of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar).  S. Mann said that he would work with other organizations to ensure that the BJP, Congress and Akali Dal were defeated in Punjab.

Expressing deep concern over the murder of Bapu Ji’s son-in-law Bhai Satwinder Singh Bhola in Chicago, S. Mann said that it is very unfortunate that murder took place at this critical stage of Bapu Surat Singh’s struggle.  He urged the American government to investigate the case so that the truth could be brought in front.

 

Bhai Darbara Singh, Bhai harjit Singh Virk, Bhai Joga Singh Khalistani, Bhai Narinder Singh Kapurthala, Bhai Jaswant Singh Ludhiana, Bhai Sukhjit Singh Daroli, Bhai Pargat Singh Makhu, Bhai Darshan Singh Ludhiana, Bhai Pritpal Singh Raud, Bhai Stephen Singh Sidhwan, Bhai Harpal Singh Bhala, Bhai Swarn Singh Khalsa, Baba Manjit Singh, Bhai Manjit Singh Sialkoti, Bhai Balvir Singh Manku, Bhai Manmohan Singh Ranguwal, Bhai Visakha Singh, Bhai Harwinder Singh Mohi etc. were also present on this occasion.
