CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Leaders of the United Akali Dal Dr. Bhagwan Singh and Dr. Gurnam Singh Sidhu have condemned the murder of S. Satwinder Singh Bhola in Peoria, IL, USA. They stated that Bhai Bhola was a “gem” of the Khalsa Panth and played an important role in the leadership of the All India Sikh Student Federation. S. Satwinder Singh Bhola was murdered last week weak outside his residence.
UAD leaders said S. Satwinder Singh Bhola also played an important role in the struggle of Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa.
Appreciating the role of Bhai Satwinder Singh Bhola during Sikh struggle days from 1985 to 1990, Dr. Bhagwan Singh said that the role of Bhai Satwinder Singh Bhola was incomparable. He added that Bhai Bhola’s intellectual capabilities and his vision of the future was intolerable to Indian government and agencies, hence he remained on their watch list until he took asylum in the United States.
