HASSANPUR, Punjab—Jathedar Giani Raam Singh (Damdami Taksal Sangrawan) reached Hassanpur to express his condolences over the murder of Bhai Satwinder Singh Bhola. Giani Raam Singh reached Hassanpur along with his jatha and met with Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa there.
Giani Raam Singh informed Sikh24 that he was asked by Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa to do parchar for the sangarsh and raise awareness of the plight of political prisoners lodged in various jails across India. Giani Raam Singh said that even though Bapu Ji is physically very weak, his is spiritually in rising spirits.
Giani Raam Singh has been vocal about the release of Sikh political prisoners, however this is the first time he held an extensive meeting with Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa.
Bhai Satwinder Singh Bhola was murdered on Monday, August 17, 2015. No arrests have been made in the case so far, however federal agencies in the USA are investigating the murder.
