LUDHIANA, Punjab—Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa has reportedly moved a petition against his illegal detention by Punjab government in the Punjab & High Court.

In his petition filed through Advocate ADS Jattana, Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa has sought permission to have hassle free meetings with his supporters and Sangharsh Committee members.  Advocate Jattana said that the court might start hearing on the petition on Friday.

It is notable that Bapu Surat Singh has been kept isolated at his house in Hassanpur and large police deployment remains present outside the village.  His supporters are harassed and not being allowed permission to see him.

During a large scale program organized at the Hassanpur Gurdwara Sahib, Bapu Surat Singh was not allowed to listen to the Gurbani recitation.

Earlier today, Sukhpal Singh, along with Advocate Gurjinder Singh Sahni also visited Bapu Ji.  Sukhpal Singh is a long time supporter of Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa.  He was earlier released on a bail bond after being arrested when police raided Bapu Surat Singh’s house.
