Talwandi Sabo, Punjab—Convener of Bandi Singhs Rihai Sangharsh Committee Bhai Gurdeep Singh Bathinda today received bail after being charged under section 107/151 of Cr. P.C (Code of Criminal Procedure), at Police station of Talwandi Sabo. Bhai Gurdeep Singh received bail as per instructions of Punjab & Haryana High Court.
As soon as Bhai Bathinda’s bail was approved, the Police of Maur Mandi framed another case of 107/151 against him.
Bhai Gurdeep Singh Bathinda has been detained by the Punjab Government since July 19. Four cases under section 107/151 of Cr.P.C have been consecutively framed against him by the Punjab police at the behest of Punjab Government.
Bhai Gurdeep Singh Bathinda is convening the Bandi Singhs Rihai Sangharsh Committee constituted to spearhead the struggle initiated by Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa for the release of political Sikh prisoners. Despite calling several meetings, the Punjab government wishes to down-play the struggle of Bapu Surat Singh Ji Khalsa overtly and covertly.
The first three cases of 107/151 were levelled against Bhai Gurdeep Singh Bathinda in the Police stations of Thermal, Sadar and Talwandi Sabo on July 19, July 21 and July 27 respectively. The fourth case was framed against him in Police station of Maur Mandi today.
