CHANDIGARH, Punjab—In a meeting of the Bandi Singhs Rihai Sangharsh Committee and various Panthik bodies, a decision to march towards Delhi to move a petition titled ‘Justice! Why not for Sikhs?’ in the Indian Parliament has been taken. The bodies also decided to spark the struggle for the release of members of the Sangharsh Committee that have been detained by the government through levelling false charges of 107/151 of Cr.P.C.(Code of Criminal Procedure) against them.

A protest against the illegal detention of Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa outside the DMC Hospital will be organized on August 6. The activists have warned the government that they will react harshly if the government does not soften its approach towards the issue.

Sikh intellectuals S. Gurtej Singh IAS and Dr. Gurdarshan Singh Dhillon appealed to the Sikh masses to unite on a common platform to move the struggle forward.

Bibi Pritam Kaur and Bhai RP Singh of Bandi Singhs Rihai Sangharsh Committee emphasized on sharpening the struggle to make the government deviate from its “deaf” approach.

Former Jathedar of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, Giani Balwant Singh Nandgarh said that the so-called Akali government has revealed its anti-Panthik face by detaining the Singhs and  levelling false charges under 107/151 of Cr.P.C.
