GURDASPUR, Punjab—Convener of Aam Aadmi Party Punjab, Sucha Singh Chhotepur has stated that all the announcements made by BJP-Akali alliance on 350th foundation day celebrations of Sri Anandpur Sahib were totally “fake”. He alleged that the Akali leadership can never fight against the Drug menace in Punjab as most of its own leadership was heavily involved in the drug trade.

He added that the Central Government is allotting special packages to Himachal Pardesh and Jammu & Kashmir to promote industry, while Centre has completely ignored Punjab.  He said that the rate of drug abuse and farmer suicides have been dramatically increased in the Akali regime.

Chhotepur said that Parkash Badal doesn’t care about Panth or Punjab, instead his interests are only limited unto his family. He added that Punjab had to face major loss with appointment of Harsimrat Badal as a Central Minister. “People of Punjab will reject Akali leadership in Assembly election of 2017,” he added. He said that masses of Punjab are keen to see Aam Admi Party ruling in Punjab.

(POSTED BY BUZZ ON OCT 12, 2012 AT 19:29 IST )
Although there has been no comprehensive study yet to determine the number of drug addicts in the state, a couple of surveys conducted by the state health department has thrown up the fearsome estimate that between 50 per cent to 60 per cent of young people between the ages of 16 and 35 are addicted to drugs……..

NOW THE IRONY IS The revenue minister Bikram Singh Majithia had been asked to give personal and business details which involves his alleged role in the Rs.6,000-crore international synthetic drug case. In this case of money laundering, as part of an ongoing probe into the multi-crore drug racket case that has rocked Punjab and the SAD-BJP regime over the past few months.

WHO IS BIKRAM SINGH MAJITHIA? He is younger brother of Bathinda MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal and hence brother-in-law of Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab Sukhbir Singh Badal. Sukhbir as the deputy CM holds the home affairs department under which the police function. In this scenario chief minister Parkash Singh Badal has contended that Majithia won’t be removed “without evidence”.
