Pakistan Government to File Lawsuit Against Illegal Acquirers of Gurudwara Nankana Sahib Land

NANKANA SAHIB, Pakistan— The Pakistan Government has opened a new office of Pakistan Auqaf Board in Gurdwara Nankana Sahib and has appointed officials to initiate legitimate action against the illegal acquirers of the Gurdwara land. T

hese officials will report back to the Pakistan Government from time to time. It is notable that thousands of acres of land owned by Gurdwara Nankana Sahib is being used by civilians illegally.

General Secretary of Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee S. Gopal Singh Chawla said that Chairman Siddique-ul-Farooq and Additional Secretary Fazash Abbas of Auqaf board inaugurated the newly established office at Gurdwara Nankana Sahib.

The first meeting of officials concluded with the decision that the case will be filed against the illegal occupants of the Gurdwara Land. Chairman Siddique-ul-Farooq also announced to construct a new Rest House at Gurdwara Sri Dehra Sahib with 200 rooms. He also said that the plan to attach all single bathrooms of Gurdwara Nankana Sahib into a single larger, bathroom was being decided upon.
