Excluve: BJP Chief Hints at Contesting All 117 Seats in Punjab

amit-shah RallyAMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—BJP has again given indication to contest forthcoming Punjab assembly elections of 2017 on its own, parting ways with Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal). Addressing senior party leaders at Ranjit Avenue here, BJP chief Amit Shah today claimed that the party was now able to contest all 117 assembly seats in Punjab.

Justifying his claim, he said that Party’s membership had risen to 23,000,00 in Punjab. He said its base had spread to all cities, towns and villages of the state and it was no longer restrained to contest only three Lok Sabha seats in Punjab.

“Although I visited Sri Darbar Sahib first time after becoming president of the party, I have in past paid visits here earlier.  Every time I get new conscience after paying obeisance at Sri Harmandar Sahib and tribute to martyrs of Jalianwala Bagh,” he added.
